Single Vision Lenses - Provide vision at one distance which may be distance (driving), intermediate (computer), and near (reading). They are available in many materials.

Bifocal Lenses - Provide vision at two distances. Usually at distance and near, however intermediate and near correction is increasing among computer users. Bifocals have two visibly distinct areas of vision separated by a segment line of varying widths.

Trifocal Lenses - Provide vision at three distances. The majority of the lens is for distance viewing while the lower part of the lens is divided into intermediate and near viewing segments.
